WHY I WANTED TO JOIN THE BOARD: I am in local government to help impart positive change for the community and residents. I realized to do so, that I need to be a part of a bigger charge.

MY MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE TO DATE: I have two experiences that I would consider most memorable – My first Annual Conference in Santa Rosa and presenting on marijuana at the 2016 Annual Conference.

MY AREAS OF EXPERTISE: I live to learn and greatly enjoy my position and the challenges because there is always something new. Some of the topic areas that I have researched and analyzed include marijuana, parking enforcement, municipal budget development, recreation, public information, and employee collaboration and outreach.
MY DREAM JOB DUTIES WOULD INCLUDE: City management.
WHAT KEEPS ME EXCITED ABOUT WORKING IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT IS: Participating in the development of public policy and implementation to impart positive impact in the community.
THE EVENT OR PERSON THAT INSPIRED ME TO WORK IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT: Exposure to Public Administration in college. I wanted to be a Fire Fighter, but had the opportunity for an athletic scholarship. My fire friends encouraged me to major in Public Policy and Administration. After studying and learning about the field, I fell in love with the profession.
WHO YOU ADMIRE THE MOST AND WHY (HISTORICAL OR CURRENT): I admire many people in my life, each for what I have had the opportunity to learn from; including, my parents and siblings, coaches who have taught be that hard work, dedication and determination pay off, supervisors who demonstrate great leadership, passion and mentorship.
