The City of Berkeley is seeking a Health Services Supervisor to join the Health, Housing and Community Services (HHCS) Department! In this role, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations of health clinics and/or complex health programs. You will have a high degree of accountability and on-going decision-making responsibility for assigned programs in the Public Health Division.
The current available position supports the operational infrastructure and day-to-day fiscal management across the Public Health Division. With a funding mix of special funds, time studied reimbursement, matching funds, Medi-Cal billable reimbursement, and General Fund, this position is essential in the monitoring and maximizing revenue, Division-wide expenditure tracking, and annual budget planning and analysis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities is:
Equivalent to graduation from a college or university with major coursework in public health, nursing, psychology, health education or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a health professional in a public health agency. Two (2) years supervisory experience, which has included budget and program development, is required.
Other requirements: Must be able to travel to various locations within and outside the City of Berkeley to meet the program needs and to fulfill the job responsibilities. When driving on City business, maintenance of a valid California driver’s license and satisfactory driving record is required. Must be willing to work evenings or weekends.
