Position Overview
The Administrative Services Officer (ASO) is a full-time, exempt role under the City Manager, overseeing financial operations including accounting, budgeting, and contract management. Responsibilities include managing the city budget, attending City Council meetings, and supervising finance staff. The ASO is expected to utilize technology effectively, particularly Microsoft Suite and Tyler Technologies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Candidates should have experience as an ASO, preferably within a California agency, with strong knowledge of budget processes. A collaborative team player with excellent customer service skills is sought, along with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Qualifications and Benefits
Required: Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting and three years of related experience; additional experience may substitute for education. Desirable certifications include CAP, PACE, or CMA.
Salary ranges from $92,646.98 to $118,243.63, with a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid leave.
