Salary: $146,820 – $150,696
Nestled in the heart of the Yakima Valley in central Washington, Grandview, is a vibrant and diverse community of 11,010 residents. The City of Grandview employs over 60 full-time employees and operates on a 2023 budget of $32,300,185. City departments are currently led by the City Administrator/Public Works Director, City Attorney, City Clerk/Human Resources, City Treasurer, Fire Chief, Library Director, Parks & Recreation Director, and Police Chief. With the hiring of the new City Administrator, public works management will be under a Public Works Director, rather than directly under the City Administrator, as it is currently. The new City Administrator will be involved in the selection process for the Public Works Director.
Under the direction of the Mayor, the City Administrator directs the administration of all city government functions and services, provides leadership in the long- and short-term goals of the city, and presents recommendations to the Mayor and Council for action.
Education & Experience: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in business finance, public administration, business management or related field or comparable experience. At least five (5) to seven (7) years of City or County Governmental managerial experience. A master’s degree, and fluency, both verbal and written, in Spanish is preferred. Experience with operations, budgeting and managing personnel. Working knowledge of government finance with proven experience in administering budgets.
