The Public Works Department consists of approximately 72 full time employees and is responsible for maintaining and improving the city’s streets, parks, water and stormwater systems, traffic signals, trees, fleet and public buildings. Public Works is responsible for building and maintaining the City’s infrastructure and facilities, and for providing many of the basic services affecting the daily lives of everyone living, working, visiting, and commuting within the City.
In the Public Works Department, the Management Analyst will work with the maintenance, engineering and transportation sections, on assignments required to analyze, evaluate and make recommendations on complex matters. The Management Analyst will provide exceptional customer service, be a team player, an effective communicator, and juggle multiple projects. Responsibilities may include implementation of the heritage tree ordinance and permitting requirements; coordination of funding and services for several assessments districts for landscaping, trees, and sidewalk repair services; preparation and administration of grants; preparing request for proposals for maintenance and engineering services; and coordination of the department’s communication and engagement efforts.

Qualifications
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
Management Analyst I
- Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration or a related field.
- One (1) year of increasingly responsible experience performing administrative, operational, management, and/or financial analysis.
Management Analyst II
- Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration or a related field.
- Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience performing administrative, operational, management, and/or financial analysis.
Salary Ranges
- Management Analyst I, $93,424 to $113,559 Annually (Member of SEIU)
- Management Analyst II, $107,432 to $130,585 Annually (Member of AFSCME)
