The City of Orinda is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Analyst I / II to join our Public Works & Engineering Department.
While this role exists within the City, it is new to this department and will be a three-year limited-term role, offering a unique opportunity to shape your responsibilities, take on diverse projects, and make a meaningful impact in the community.
We’re looking for someone who is organized, resourceful, and thrives in a team-focused environment. You’ll support a wide range of functions — from project management and budgeting to policy analysis, contract administration, and grant coordination – so no two days will be the same!
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a proactive, analytical, and collaborative professional who demonstrates:
- Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and policies effectively.
- Aptitude for budgeting, data analysis, and performance measurement.
- Interest in public infrastructure, capital projects, and local government operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with financial, project management, or GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS).
- Independent judgement, initiative, and a commitment to public service excellence.
