The City of Pittsburg in California seeks qualified candidates for Administrative Analyst I/II in the Department of Community and Economic Development.

Salary: $75,240.00 – $105,888.00 Annually

Salary increases effective: 6.9% – July 2023; 5.9% – July 2024

The Administrative Analyst in the Community and Economic Development Department will serve as an integral team-member to reimagine Pittsburg’s economic development potential through well-planned projects, programs and activities that will increase property values, generate greater sales tax revenue, create new jobs, grow the local economy, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents, business owners and visitors.  Other duties, may include providing analytical and programmatic support to other divisions within the Department.

The Community and Economic Development Department is comprised of the Building, Planning, Economic Development, and Code Enforcement Divisions. The Economic Development Division is newly established within the Community and Economic Development Department and will create and maintain strategic partnerships with public and private entities to enhance competitiveness, entrepreneurial development and seek to deliver measurable results. LICENSE REQUIREMENT for Administrative Analyst I &II: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Class C California driver’s license is required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT for Administrative Analyst I &II: Qualified applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration or a related field.

EXPERIENCE for Administrative Analyst I: One (1) year of professional level experience performing responsible administrative, program/project management, and/or analytical functions.

EXPERIENCE Administrative Analyst II: Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience performing professional administrative, program/project management, and/or analytical functions in a capacity similar to the City’s Administrative Analyst I.
