Join the City of Tracy as our next Cultural Arts Division Manager!
We are seeking a dynamic individual to plan, manage, and oversee the daily functions, operations, and activities of the Cultural Arts Division, including the operations and staff of the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts. This high-visibility position includes acting as a representative to the Grand Foundation, Tracy Arts Commission, community groups, private businesses, and others regarding questions, concerns, and activities in the provision of cultural arts program operations, activities, and services. This position oversees the Cultural Arts Division in the City Manager’s Office.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing performance and visual arts venues, instructional programs, and special events, including scheduling and booking. Additionally, they will possess extensive experience in contracts and agreements, contract negotiations, and grants administration.
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in visual arts, fine arts, art history, arts administration, theater arts, or related field and five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in managing and developing arts and cultural programs, theater production, or in a related field.
- Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid Class C California driver’s license upon appointment.
- May be required to complete National Incident Management System (NIMS) Training.
