The Columbia Pacific Economic Development District (ColPac), is recruiting a dynamic leader to serve as its next Executive Director.
ColPac is a 501(c)(3) private non-profit organization operating a Economic Development Administration federally designated district established to support the economic growth, livability, and resiliency of Northwest Oregon. The District covers Clatsop, Columbia, Tillamook and western Washington County. ColPac is governed by a 24-member volunteer Board of Directors that includes county and city government officials, private sector representatives, and other community leaders. The Director is hired and reports directly to the ColPac Board of Directors, oversees four staff persons, and an annual budget of approximately $2.96 million.
The Executive Director is responsible for implementing the region’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, providing leadership and coordination for regional initiatives, assisting with local needs for funding, grant management, and strategic planning, supporting the Board of Directors, managing District staff, and maintaining the organization’s ongoing financial viability.
A bachelor’s degree in a business or public administration related field, and at least five years of experience related to economic, entrepreneurial, workforce, or employment are required. An advanced degree with familiarity working in the Pacific Northwest and for municipal and private organizations is attractive. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
Compensation is $100,000 to $120,000 (DOQ).
