The Contra Costa County Public Works Department is offering an excellent employment opportunity to fill multiple vacant Associate Civil Engineer positions, located in Martinez, CA. The Associate Civil Engineer will be working within one of five engineering divisions – Design/Construction, Engineering Services, Flood Control, Maintenance, or Transportation Engineering Divisions. The engineering divisions work on the planning, construction, improvement, and/or maintenance of road and drainage infrastructures within the unincorporated County, as well as flood control facilities for the County Flood Control District.

Minimum Qualifications
Licenses Required: Possession of a Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License. Out of State valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License will be accepted during the application process. AND
Possession of a valid State of California certificate of registration as a Professional Civil Engineer.

Experience: Three (3) years of full-time, or its equivalent, professional civil engineering experience.

Desirable Qualifications:Previous experience working in a Public Agency or Special District
Previous experience in training, evaluating, and mentoring others
