There is an additional 3.35% Management Differential which is added to the posted salary for this class.
The Workers’ Compensation Manager is responsible for the overall administration of the Workers’ Compensation Program. Program responsibilities include management of all aspects of claims administration program, including disability management, and a viable return-to-work program for injured employees (industrial and non-industrial) that effectively reduces the amount of time lost from the workplace, and implementation of programs to reduce the amount of lost time. This position is also responsible for oversight of contract claims, runoff services, and other related vendors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Either: Five years of full-time paid experience in the class of Workers’ Compensation Supervisor in Sacramento County service.
Or: Five years of full-time paid experience supervising, administering, and managing a Workers’ Compensation staff engaged in claims administration, development and implementation of Return-to-Work and/or Disability Management programs, in conjunction with Safety and Risk Management programs goals and objectives.
