Under the direction of Valley Health Plan’s Chief Executive Officer, the Assistant Director for Contracting will direct the design, development, and implementation of contracting for providers and other entities for Valley Health Plan, the County’s Health Maintenance Organization. This role is responsible for leading a team of contracting specialists and administrative staff in ensuring that VHP’s provider network meets all regulatory requirements, including timely access and network adequacy.
Required Background and Experience:
Possession of a bachelor’s or higher degree in business administration, health care administration, or a related field. This position requires substantial managed care program or related experience where a high level of responsibility and accountability was held, preferably in programs dealing with Medicaid, a large geographic area, a variety of providers, a teaching hospital, and a public/political environment.
