The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) is seeking a Director of Contracts and Procurement Services. SANDAG is a world-class institution with a culture of innovation and embracing new ideas. Using data and technology to inform planning, SANDAG connects people, places, and innovative ideas by building projects within the San Diego region’s unique and diverse communities.

The Director is an agency leader who plans, directs, and manages a large procurement program along with a cohesive team of 20 dedicated staff members. Approximately $300 to $400 million is spent in awards to consultants, contractors, and vendors via 50 to 60 formal and approximately 100 informal procurements each year.

The Director will be a trailblazer in this field, providing leadership for an innovative, ‘state of the art’ procurement program. As a visionary, the Director will be able to see beyond the traditional way of doing business in the public sector and develop novel solutions to complex business operations.
