The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for 2 vacancies for the position of Senior Information Technology Analyst in the Yuba County Administrative Services/Information Technology Department. Under limited supervision, provides lead direction and technical assistance to assigned support staff and/or project management; performs the more complex computer systems analysis, maintenance, design, and programming; serves as the primary contact and County resource expert on assigned applications or group of applications and performs related work as assigned. The Senior Information Technology Analyst is the advanced professional journey level classification in the information technology series.

Helpdesk Systems Engineer Lead:

The Helpdesk Systems Lead is responsible for providing professional and efficient helpdesk support, desktop engineering and imaging. A strong customer service mindset is the key to succeeding in this role. This hands on team lead will assist with the standardization of helpdesk services and procedures along with streamlining any discovered inefficiencies. This person needs experience and understanding of M365. They will play a key role in the continued development of the IT Helpdesk Team.

Network Engineer:

Under the Network Team; The Network Engineer will be designing and implementing network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks Installing, configuring and supporting storage area networks (SAN), network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP, QoS. Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security, maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting, arranging scheduled upgrades, investigating faults in the network, updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases, reporting network status to key stakeholders.  The successful candidate should have a thorough understanding of Cisco hardware, Software and firmware, VMware, Azure, M365 and network security.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum: An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a field related to the work and two years of experience at a level equivalent to the County’s class of Information Systems Analyst II level. A list of the coursework must be submitted with application. Candidates with strong experience who lack the education are encouraged to apply.

Preferred: In addition to the minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or Management Information Systems and additional relevant analytical network, applications and communications systems experience preferably in a public agency setting.

Licenses and Certification: Obtain a valid California Class C driver’s license within 10 days of employment. Possess and maintain at least one certification program as identified and determined by the department depending on the area of assignment: applications, operations and help desk.

Work Environment: May be required to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays as directed. May at times be exposed to loud noise levels. However, noise levels are typically quiet.

HIRING RANGE: $6,641 – $8,634 Monthly + Benefits
