Local Governance Summer Institute at Stanford & HdL Scholarship Opportunity
MMANC has partnered with HdL Companies to offer a $7,500 scholarship to the 2024 Local Governance Summer Institute (LGSI) program.
LGSI offers city managers, county executives, regional directors, and other senior local government officials the opportunity to exchange and acquire tools for improving local government performance and enhancing prospective analytical capacity to innovate and anticipate societal change. The program covers various topics including strategic thinking in problem solving, smart financial management practices, community engagement, ethical practice and negotiations skills, regional energy transition and water management policy challenges, smart transport and urban infrastructure upgrading to enhance economic competitiveness at the local and regional level, and many others.
The 2024 program will run from July 21-26 at Stanford University. The application period for the program is now open and reviewed monthly on a rolling basis until the program reaches capacity. You can access the application at Local Governance Summer Institute @ Stanford | ENERGY.
How to apply for the HdL Scholarship
Once you receive confirmation of acceptance into the LGSI Program, please email John.Stefanski@cityofsanrafael.org with:
- Your proof of acceptance into LGSI
- Your up-to-date resume
- A brief cover letter that details how you would benefit from participating in the program and how you would leverage what you learn.
Applications for the HdL Scholarship are due by Friday, April 19, 2024.
