Awards Ceremony at the 2016 MMANC Winter Forum in Foster City

Each year, Municipal Management Association of Northern California recognizes those who support the local government management profession.  The annual awards ceremony is held during the luncheon at the annual Winter Forum.

The Wes McClure Outstanding Assistant Award was designed to recognize outstanding achievement and exemplary commitment in work performed by a Full Member of MMANC, plus dedication to the profession. Nominations are solicited from members as well as from local government chief executives throughout Northern California.

The President’s Award is presented at the Immediate Past President’s discretion to a member who has gone above and beyond to support MMANC during the prior year.

The Rising Star Award was established by MMANC in 2007 as part of the Inaugural Women’s Leadership Summit.  The Rising Star Award is presented to a female MMANC member that demonstrates the leadership skills crucial to sound local government, the ethics that are core to MMANC, seeks out opportunities for professional development and exhibits exemplary performance and commitment to the employee’s organization.

The Regional Professional Award is given to an outstanding Region Co-Chair/Board Member who has demonstrated a commitment to the work of MMANC.

The Ed Sajor Memorial Student Award seeks to recognize outstanding Student Members who attend a recognized professional school for the purpose of entering into the profession of public administration or local government management.  The award includes a free registration to the MMANC Annual Conference and is open to students who meet MMANC membership qualifications.

The Booster Award is presented to a non-MMANC professional or organization that has significantly supported MMANC both as an organization and its activities.  Recipients have included city managers, consultants, League of California Cities or CSAC staff, and corporate partners.

The Longstanding and Continued Support Award is presented to a deserving individual who has provided longstanding consistent support for the organization.

Service Awards may be presented to members who are not officers, nor winners of other awards, but nonetheless are deserving of recognition for their participation in and contributions to the organization during the year.
