Bob Leland from Management Partners will be presenting best practiced and cautionary tales related to long-range forecasting, complimented by speakers sharing case studies on community-based budgeting and public engagement.

Mark Prestwich, City Manager, City of St. Helena and Alexandra Orologas, Assistant City Manager, City of El Cerrito will be sharing reflections and advice on the Journey from Assistant to ACM and ACM to City Manager.

MMANC Day Hike

$10 per person

Enjoy a guided 2-hour natural and cultural history hike at Picchetti Ranch Preserve with Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District docents that will include seasonal highlights like wildflowers, flowing creeks, and an ephemeral pond. The hike route and distance (approximately 2 miles) will take in grasslands, chaparral, and oak woodland habitats with final stop on the historic Picchetti Winery grounds. Pre and post-hike snacks and refreshments will be provided. Meet at 9:30 for snacks, the hike will start at 10:00 am. Space limited.

This event focuses on highlighting the diversity of employment opportunities in State and Local Government and providing tips on how to navigate these two prominent public employment sectors in the Sacramento Region. This event includes speakers with experience in each sector that will provide an overview/tips on how to navigate employment within the sector including: the diversity of employment opportunities, where to search for employment opportunities; how to navigate the application processes; how to navigate the interview processes; and how to climb the career ladder. The event includes a Question and Answer session.
