Ex-Officio Board Members

Members interested in serving on the Board of Directors are strongly encouraged to review the position description and be able to commit to the position’s expectations before submitting a nomination.

Terms for all MMANC offices begin on January 1 of each year. The 2026 Election Calendar (for terms beginning January 1, 2026) shall occur as follows:

  • Nominations Open: October 1, 2025
  • Nominations Close: October 24, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
  • Ballots Distributed: October 30, 2025
  • Ballots Due Back: November 20, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
  • Results announced: December 4, 2025

An election will be held for each eligible position, even if there is only one candidate.

Eligibility

MMANC members must be Full members to serve in an elected position and can nominate themselves for this position. Full members may also nominate other members to the position. Those interested in serving on the Board of Directors are encouraged to contact a current board member to learn more about the role. Members will also have an opportunity to learn more about the board roles at the Annual Conference.

Nominations

Nominations may also be received from other MMANC members. By the close of nominations, candidates for office shall submit to the Elections Committee a brief statement of interest not to exceed 250 words. Nominations must be submitted to: elections@mmanc.org. All prospective candidates should read the position descriptions before submitting nominations.

The Elections Committee is responsible for executing the annual elections process, including:

  • Candidate recruitment
  • Ballot preparation and distribution
  • Tabulation
  • Certification

Election

The MMANC 2026 Board of Directors Election opens on October 30, 2025 and closes at 5:00 p.m. on November 20, 2025.

Full members are eligible to vote in this year’s election. Voting access details and ballot links have been sent via email to all eligible members.

This year’s ballot includes several competitive position races, and we encourage all members to participate in selecting the next Board of Directors. To help inform your vote, candidate Statements of Interest can be viewed by clicking the “i” information button next to each candidate’s name on the ballot.
