Members interested in serving on the Board of Directors are strongly encouraged to review the position description and be able to commit to the position’s expectations before submitting a nomination.
Terms for the MMANC Board of Directors begin on January 1 of each year. The 2027 Election Calendar (for terms beginning January 1, 2027) shall occur as follows:
- Nominations Open: September 28, 2026
- Informational session: October 5, 2026
- Nominations Close: October 11, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
- Ballots Distributed: October 19, 2026
- Ballots Due Back: November 6, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
- Results announced: November 20, 2026
An election will be held for each eligible position, even if there is only one candidate.
Eligibility
Candidates must be MMANC Full members (as defined by the MMANC Bylaws) by the close of the nomination period. Those interested in serving on the Board of Directors are encouraged to contact a current board member to learn more about the role. Members will also have an opportunity to learn more about the board roles at the Annual Conference.
Nominations
Nominations for the 2027 Board of Directors can be submitted via the online form. Nominations may also be received from other MMANC members. By the close of nominations, candidates for office shall submit to the Elections Committee a brief statement of interest not to exceed 250 words. The statement of interest must be submitted to: elections@mmanc.org. All prospective candidates and nominators should read the position descriptions and the Elections Guidelines before submitting nominations.
Election
Ballots will be distributed to MMANC Full members via email on October 19. Per the MMANC Bylaws, Associate, Student, Executive, and Honorary members are not eligible to vote or serve on the Board of Directors.

The Elections Committee is responsible for executing the annual elections process, including:
- Candidate recruitment
- Ballot preparation and distribution
- Tabulation
- Certification
