MMANC offers programs, scholarships, and awards that support the advancement of local government management professionals.

The Credentialed Government Leader (CGL) Program, launched in 2015, provides foundational tools, experiences and connections designed to develop participants’ knowledge, self-awareness and skill set. The program is designed to build the management and leadership skills of analysts, mid-managers and other members who have at least three years experience in a government organization in a qualifying position.

UpNext, launched in 2023, is a leadership community designed for municipal leaders in cities, counties and special districts. UpNext aims to serve these executive leaders by providing a structured community through small cohorts of up to 20 professionals who meet for curated personal and professional development, individual coaching, and to support one another as they prepare to take the next step in their careers.
